Porlock village lies to the left and Bossington Beach to the right. At the far end of the beach is Porlock Wier with its harbour, waterside hotel, pub, cafe and some artisan shops.
Ian and Nina welcome you to Keld Apartment, in the charming village of Porlock, situated within the Exmoor National Park.
Our very spacious Victorian apartment awaits. Keld is centrally located in the Village, which is nestled in the beautiful countryside of Porlock Vale. Many walks can be enjoyed from the doorstep. Keld is just a few minutes walk from the South West Coast Path and the sea.
Keld is a first floor apartment. It is a peaceful haven, perfect for couples, friends and families to relax in comfort, It is an ideal base for walkers wanting to explore Exmoor’s picturesque river valleys, rolling moorland, and stunning coastal paths.
Guests at Keld have use of a parking space in a private car park, two minutes walk from the apartment.
The kitchen is very well equipped for self catering. Three pubs in the village serve serve quality food for hearty appetites! Other restaurants and tea shops are located nearby.

In old English the word keld means ‘the still part of a body or water’ or ‘a spring.’ We think it is very appropriate name for a home here in Porlock, where there is water a plenty: from trickling moorland streams; to rivers, some meandering in peaceful valleys, others rushing urgently over rocks; waterfalls and the sea, with the Welsh coast visible on a clear day.
It may be no surprise, with all of these watery habitats, that Exmoor is home to a fantastic array of vibrant dragonflies and damselflies!
